The Airman Brand began launching their models of mini excavators in 1981. They started distributing their own models of mini excavators. These models where the HS08, 12S, 15S, and 20s. Shortly after that about two years later, the HM models of mini excavators were launched. In 1990 they dedicated their Bunsui plant to be a factory focused on mini excavators. It wasn't until 1992 that they finished their AX series. They left the color purple on their AX mini excavators in order to stand out from the crowd as the color orange was the more commonly seen color in the construction industry. The AX series featured a bigger cabin area, larger bucket capacity, and a longer boom stick. Today Airman is focused on their AX-U series which featured a zero-tail swing, reinforced boom cylinder guard for better strength, a D-shaped frame to reduce damage to the body, and much more.
